Ponderosa Pines Family Campground

My family loved staying at this campground for decades. Then they removed the water spigot from the dump station in 2025...defeating its purpose. Now you can't dump since there's no way to rinse/flush your black tank. I've never seen a dump station without a water spigot. If you enjoy camping without a way to properly clean and maintain your RV's black tank, this is the place for you. We're hoping the water spigot at the dump station will be replaced at some point so we can enjoy this campground again. Until then, we'll be staying where there's water available to rinse sewage out of our sanitary system properly.

Had the best few days there with family and friends. We loved our cabins and the seasonal campers, as usual, were so welcoming. It was my 3rd time there and it will not be the last. Thanks Jen and Mike for everything.

We spent weekend here for first time and it is a very old, rustic campground but for us, it was perfect. The pool heater was not working but we still had good time. The lake views are amazing. It was quiet and everyone was friendly. It could use some updates and there was limited cell service and wifi only worked by the store/pool area. There was many activities going on for everyone to enjoy.

Ponderosa Pines Family Campground is a charming, rustic spot that gave me all the nostalgic ’90s campground vibes, in the best way! It’s cozy, peaceful, and has that laid back atmosphere you don’t find in bigger, modern resorts. We stayed in one of the cabins and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was for our family of 7. The loft was a huge hit with the kids! While the sites are on the smaller side, we never felt cramped, and the layout still felt comfortable and family-friendly. The pool was clean and refreshing, a great way to cool off during the day. The little on site store itself was convenient, and the real star? Their friendly resident cat who loves attention and happily greets everyone who stops by! This used to be a great campground. Then they upped prices, decided if you want a friend to stop by your campsite for an hour you have to pay additional (and not just $5/person like most places), and above all that there is no dump station for RVs anymore. Sure the hole is still there but when asked they told us most people are going down to other campgrounds to dump because they have no way of fully dumping since there's no hose. We had to drive down to Keen Lake to dump and use their actual dump station that has what you need to do it right. PP is absolutely disgusting that they don't have this option. How can they raise the price and lower the service? Ridiculous, we won't be coming back.
