Pocono Point RV & Campground

We had a great first visit at the camp ground with our travel trailer. Centrally located to the various sights we wanted to see in the area. The manager Cheyenne was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Would definitely return.

I really hate to give this place a poor review but the negatives outweigh the positives. One of the positives was the office girls. They were more than pleasant, helpful and courteous so this poor review is not a reflection of them. But the negatives are many. |First, this is a trailer park. It seems that most of the trailers are either permanent or at least long stays. They have skirts wrapped around the trailers, hard piping for water and waste and large propane tanks outside. Our neighbors were definitely permanent and had a large scary German Shephard that was ready to eat our little white lab for dinner. Next were the loud "explosions" day and night. Although I have no problem with guns, coon hunting in the middle of the night with a .50 cal was not ideal. Scared me straight. And then

Unfortunately it wasn’t what we expected. It felt like a trailer park. I’d say easily 80% of the RV’s there, we’re stationed there permanently. There was absolutely nothing to do. Noise can be heard from passing traffic from the nearby highway. Sewer could be smelled depending on where you walked. Perhaps it is our fault for not doing enough research, but we did a 10 hr round trip for this. We only stayed one out of the three nights we booked.

As soon as we stepped into the cabin we saw bed bug traps all around the bed. We called to ask what is going and they said there are no bed bugs and that it’s just there for precaution. Foolishly believing the host we stayed. The next morning I woke up to small red bumps on my skin. Still I wanted to believe the hosts and not assume it was not a bed bug bite. Early in the morning my partner and I saw a small bug crawling on a kitchen cabinet where we scanned it with a bug identification app and was told it’s a bed bug. We immediately contacted Airbnb support and the hosts. We told the hosts what happened and they denied the proof of my bite marks being from bed bugs and the picture we showed them. They said the picture we showed them was not from their cabin and not true. According to the

One night stop over. Would not recommend staying longer. The sites were..ok. There was an overwhelming smell of septic through the campground. The bathrooms and showers were particularly strong. The water in the camper reeked of septic and the pool water highly chlorinated.
