Pittsburgh Roaring Run RV Resort

We stayed here in the winter to go to 7 Springs. Great price and location for skiing. We arrived late the first night so they left a key and map for us. It was super dark and icy so we had a lot of trouble getting to our cabin. Our vehicle couldn't make it up the slippery hills. The first night there was no heat in the cabin but we luckily threw a space heater in last minute. We still froze and slept with hats on. It was miserable. We found someone to talk to about our problems the next day and they brought us a bigger space heater since they apparently couldn't easily fix the issue and all the other cabins were booked. This was a private campground. Recently sold and new owners not honoring our 10k investment. The park is a mess. Previous owners sold trees so stumps everywhere, no sewage like advertised its a dump station, wifi when works slower then dial up, water pressure is a joke and the bathrooms are gross. Not to mention the lack of grounds keeping weeds and poison ivy. For the price they are charging I would go to one if the many other campgrounds in the area.

As a former member of this campground for 10 years I can honestly tell you it has STEADILY gone down hill. First what’s good, spacious camp sites for now. Second, perfect location for anything related to the Laurel Highlands. New ownership as of last month and they tout a lot on their website. I challenge them to 1. Explain all the amenities you speak of when it comes to the campground. 2. Post pictures of the inside of the comfort stations, you should be ashamed. I’m embarrassed when we had guests and I don’t run the place. 3. Weeds-everywhere. 4. Site 33 is covered in poison ivy and has been the last 5 years. 5. Miniature golf is sad, torn up greens on every hole, bring a leaf blower no matter the time of year. 6. No sewage hook up but you are charged a daily rate as if there was (price

This used to be a private member park, that an investment company named investotrade has purchased. As a member of Roaring run resort, I can assure you that the description and amenities are a lie. There is no indoor pool, it is 1 outdoor pool that needs work done to it, as the previous owner has let the park go down hill. There is No sewage but there are dump stations, and the property is not landscaped. The store was closed and a little area in the corner with just a few things was added into the activity building with limited hours. While this is or was a quiet campground there are not the amenities that investotrade has stated or made it look like from some pictures that are not even from Roaring Run! Be prepared if you don't have a golf cart, everything is a hill!

New owners don’t honor contracts from previous ownership. This says a lot about their ethics and standards as a company. If they can’t honor these old contracts, offer a highly reduced fee option or offer compensation to the former members. I find it hard to trust them as a management company for someone on vacation.
