Pirates Dinner Adventure

The show was fantastic! We loved seeing that they included all the kids from the audience in the show. The food was really good too. They have gluten-free options. We were surprised by the waitress tip request since everything was prepaid, but it makes sense. We just weren't prepared.

We did the speakeasy murder mystery. The performers were absolutely the best they engaged. The crowd and made them a part of everything. The atmosphere was so cool. We felt like we were back in the 1920s during prohibition. And we even dressed up the part, it was a great time. I would highly recommend it. It was moderately priced. The food was not the best, but it wasn't bad either. The service was great.

You are definitely paying for the show and not the food. I really enjoyed the show and was entertained for the entire 90minutes. It’s very interactive and I especially think kids would enjoy it. That being said, I really did not like the food. For the price of a ticket (no upgrades) you get a salad service, chicken, and a brownie dessert. The salad and brownie were fine, my issue was with the chicken. It was quite bland, pretty sure it was just a boiled chicken, the veggies were for sure the frozen ones you get with a school lunch, and the mashed potatoes were alright. It was basically your typical school lunch meal. If I go again I will probably just order the chicken nuggets. The staff were all very attentive and in character, and the show itself is really fun. Absolutely loved the experience and so did my young kids including a twice exceptional 5 year old. They made us pay additional costs after purchasing the groupon and continued to try to upsell throughout the evening. I enjoyed the giant margarita upsell though, and I think the night was well worth the money, just wish there was a bit more overall transparency instead of salesmanship.

The show was fun for all ages and has several opportunities for crowd participation. Reservations recommended arriving 90 minutes prior to the show. This was way too much time to stand around the giftshop and bar areas since the pre-show has been discontinued. The doors to the dining area and stage open 30 minutes prior to the show, which is plenty of time. The meal had generous portions and the standard chicken meal was good but not exciting. You are definitely paying for the entertainment, not just the meal. Overall, it was a fun experience for a special occasion but does not need to be repeated often since updates to the show are infrequent.
