Pirate's Den RV Resort and Marina

Beginning with check-in, very friendly and efficient, had my documents ready. Everything handled with a smile. Appropriate large rig parking for check-in. Off to my site, it was clean and functional, easy to access, no problems with anything including power and WiFi. WiFi is important to me (I'm an author) and this was glitch-free. Park was essentially full, as it was peak season, but wasn't hectic or crazy in any way. Actually pretty quiet, with an occasional quad rolling by. Outdoor bar - I call it a Tiki Bar - is huge and fun, plenty of seating and right on the water - very nice views and open air. We have been going to this park for seven years. Sort of surprised at some of these reviews. My only complaint would be no access to beach in front of RV's and not even being able to get a waterfront space for a month. What I do notice is as soon as the snowbirds leave they start moving in rental trailers which are taking prime spaces.

We passed through for lunch. Festive place. The menu was interesting to read. We got the scallops and corn risotto to start and then sandwiches. The food was alright. The staff was friendly. It broke up our 4 drive, so thank you!

Very mixed feelings about this RV resort. Small lots, very close to each other. No privacy whatsoever. The sewer in the entire resort seems to be a problem; it stunk all the time we were there (1.5 months). If you're one of the 40 LUCKY people and can get a riverfront lot, then it's a totally different experience. The beach is private only for river lots. Other guests cannot use beach access. For other guests, the only beach access is by the restaurant, and it's not a quick, short walk, so most likely you won't use it, especially if you need to carry a kayak or any water toys. The public beach access is very small. There's no pool or hot tub. Laundry facilities are small, usually requiring a wait, and are only open during office hours (8-4 pm); after that, it's locked.
