Pines of Paradise

Second time we have been here, just switched cabins. The place is clean and well taken care of. The views are beautiful and the cabins are comfy cozy. Harbor lights down the road has amazing breakfasts. Clydes just a little further has the best pizza around. Awesome that they have canoes kayaks and pedalboats for everyone to use. The gameroom has foozeball, board games, puzzles, cards, and a pinball machine that the kids loved. The owners Dom and Laura and their doggies are so nice! Can't wait to come back as soon as possible and as often as possible 😌 ☺️

This was my first time staying in a cabin with family and the experience here was great. Dominic and his wife were excellent and very helpful. The cabin we stayed at was enough for 7 adults with two bedrooms and a loft area with 3 beds. Just one small bathroom which was accessible via both the bedrooms. Word of advice one of the bedrooms has the bed right against the bathroom wall so be prepared to hear the business of anyone using the bathroom. The cabins are right next to a beautiful lake which you can walk to and there are kayaks available. There's also a game/activity room with a TV and movies. We were the first guests of the season so the rest of the cabins were empty and we had the entire place to ourselves. MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS, SHEETS AND PILLOW CASES. I didn't know

We had high hopes for these cabins and the area. We were so excited with all the amenities "included" for the lake! This was pretty quickly diminished when the paddleboats were pulled out already and way up shore... full of murky water & debris, no other canoes, kayaks, etc.. in sight. We couldn't even figure out which dock belonged to the property so didn't walk out on one for fear of trespassing. We had to hoped to ask the owners so that we could enjoy something in our 3 nights, but we never saw them once nor did they have any form of contact. There wasn't even any firewood to make a bonfire. The cabin wasn't very clean and was full of very old cobwebs and (obviously) a host of spiders!! We were quite apprehensive of the ancient "furnace" in the middle of the kitchen , but had no choice.

I’ve stayed many places on Carp Lake over the years visiting family. Dominic and Laura have a excellent set up, and truly care about the area! Loved the Northwoods Retreat, and the 3 twin beds in the loft-perfect for a family when the kids are too big to share beds. Everything you need to enjoy yourself is there, a lodge with a ton to do if it’s a rainy day. But, if it’s a beautiful day out-they also have a play area for kids, a beach with kayaks and peddle boats you can use. We will be back.

Dominic and Laura (owners) make you feel like part of their family. We have taken our family (19 peeps) vacation there for the past 5 years. We have never been disappointed. The grounds and cabins are kept in great condition and with all the amenities, there's plenty to do for "all" with never having to leave. I wasn't sure about leaving a awesome review. I kind of want to keep it quite so it doesn't become to well known and hard to get a reservation in the future. 😊
