If you are looking for the perfect rustic "up north" cabin next to a lake, with fabulous views, cozy, homespun decor and lots of comfy character, this place is it! It is not the "Hilton" or "Ritz" by any means. If you want a spa atmosphere, head further north to Mackinaw City. This place is peaceful, rustic and charming! We've stayed here twice before and each cabin has been just as cute as the previous. Rustic means just that. The website tells you the amenities provided and suggestions of what to bring. We always have a relaxing and rejuvenating time while here! The owner Richie, is polite, attentive, but not overbearing. Highly recommend if you are looking for the true "up north" experience.

This place is fantastic! Rustic, as advertised, but in all the best ways plus modern conveniences to make the cabin camping experience so much more comfortable. Appreciated the details like fresh curtains, comfortable furnishings and interesting wall decor—makes it so homey and inviting. You can see the love and dedication Ritchie has put into making the cabins a warm and comfy place to enjoy some time away. Thanks for a great stay!

This place was so cute! It’s very quiet on a peaceful lake. We went up there for a trip to headlands international dark sky park, and mackinaw island. Ritchie was very polite, showed us around and explained how the cabins have been there since the 1920s. It has a Roku TV, (no dvd player like it said on VRBO) Which was awesome. You can sign in to your streaming services, and then make sure you sign out if all of them at the end of the stay. There are instructions on how to do so. It’s a quaint little town not far from Mackinac City, and the island… we went up there for the headlands international dark sky park, which was awesome!

Ritchie is an awesome host . Great cabins , very old and maintain their charm, everything you need for your stay is on the cabin . There is a small sun room in the backyard facing

It was ok. Lotsa peeling paint. Excessive pet fees... given how run down cabins are, though they are over 100 yrs old. Everything worked as expected. Bedding clean. Cabins are close together so no privacy. It's all about being close to bridge anbasicd. Left my glasses by accident and they wanted 25.00 to ship it back.
