Phillips Historic Motel & Cottages

We stayed at one of the houses. 3 nights 700$. Biker town but bikers now have businesses and income. Can Phillips spend 100$ on blinds, cookery, A CHAIN LOCK on doors. Maybe clean the stained cloth furniture sometime. Even ice trays would be nice. We hung sheets over the windows so not to give neighbors a show. Used the bathroom towel rod to secure a bedroom window. When it came time to cook,, be creative. The 10 inch goodwill pots and skillet and rubber spoons were awful usage with the stove and only 2 working burners. Bring your own soap and shampoo, 90% water. Over all, master bed is comfy, sheets shear furniture, thrift store. Its a place to sleep before u ride. 3 smoke detectors 1 works, obviously well accustomed to cigarette smoke, so dont ask if we were smoking inside. The s

I came with my boyfriend for the weekend, so we could jump on the motorcycle and ride The Tail of the Dragon. Originally I was booked in a 1 bedroom apartment. The pictures were kind of sketchy, but on short notice we took it because everything else that was available everywhere had bunk beds. When we checked in, the gentleman at the desk was super friendly, and even offered some suggestions on places to eat in the area. We made it to the apartment and the bedroom had bunk beds and a regular bed. So we would have been able to sleep together and still have a place to put our luggage and such with the other beds in the room. It was small with a sofa and a dining table. Absolutely awesome room. Loved all the space and how cozy it felt. The gentleman that works the desk was very friendly and made us.feel.welcomed. loved the covered parking for our motorcycles too

25 minutes from the Tail of the Dragon. Only convenient and low priced motel around. It looks charming from the outside. We went into what looks like a house and was greeted by the friendly person who gave us our room key and told us where the closest restaurants were. The AC window unit worked great and kept the room nice and cool all night. Unfortunately, the room needs upgrading. The water comes out white out of the faucet no matter how much we run it and it is not hot. No hot water in the shower either. The sheets were dirty. They changed the sheets promptly and apologized which was nice. But they did not change the pillow cases. The lady that changed them said they were clean and that they were just stained.
