Peloke's® Motel

So after reading all the bad reviews I was a bit discouraged have had bad experiences in the past but let me tell you the manager he was not rude at all he even let us check the room over and inspect for bedbugs before handing him an ID and any type of money he handed us a key and said go right ahead for 108$ total o incidental fees you can not beat that price & the place is fairly clean I have been to name brand motel like red roof etc and they have been absolutely filthy for 200$ this is 108$ and it’s not eatcoff the floor clean but it’s 108$ motel clean if u get what I’m saying the people on here writing bad reviews are way to bougie And obviously don’t know the difference between booking a hotel and a motel And expect way too much for $108 On a scale 1-10 I’d give this place an over

Everything in this room was dirty. There was grime dripping down the walls, cobwebs along the ceilings and in every corner, and hairballs, dust, and who knows what else all over the floor. Going by the state of the rest of the room, I doubt the blankets and sheets were clean. The drapes had broken hooks so they were sagging and hanging off the track. Everything smelled of mildew and decrepitude. The bathtub was covered in mold and grime and the toilet didn't flush! They actually booked us into a room without a working toilet! The bathroom mirror had streaks and toothpaste grime from other people all over it. The door didn't have a deadbolt or chain, just one lock on the rickety wobbly doorknob. Firstly - the previous reviews seem to be from a long time ago. |As you approach the motel it looks very much 1908s and that's what it turned out to be. The guy on reception was friendly enough and we went off to our room. |It's a usual motel room with the normal facilities you'd expect. The decor and bed/chair was dated.|We found that the bedsheets were clean and the bathroom and towels were clean. In fact we had a good night's sleep on the bed and pillows.|The room itself would have benefitted from a full clean but, as I said, the essentials had been taken care of.|The 4* Expedia rating says "very good", I couldn't go to that, hence the 3* rating.|

The smell. Oof, old cigarette odor mixed with air freshener stink. The whole place felt like it was crawling all over me. I stayed because it was late and options in the area are super slim. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Very kind owners /managers took great care of me. Room was clean and basic. Its an old motel that has not been updated, but it’s safe with window A/C. Good location to go to Hudson over the bridge.
