Pelican Motel

The Pelican Motel is a quaint little motel... The Studio was amazing and clean and quiet!!! it was so cute and had everything in it like frig, induction cooktop and fully furnished kitchen and coffee station. I loved the fireplace in the room! The Owners are Amazing and very friendly. and the little town had some great places to eat and pretty parks to go to... going forward... it will be our "go to place" whenever we are in town

The Pelican Motel is clean, maintained and the owners are accommodating, hard working, friendly and kind. Easy to book direct and communication with the owners about our stay was fantastic. Basic room and fairly priced. Rm 29 (1 queen bed) had air conditioning, a microwave and fridge. We were pleased with the friendly welcome at check in and instructions for our stay. Yes, would stay again.

We had a family gathering in the Detroit Lakes area and decided to stay in Pelican Rapids.|The Pelican Motel is owned by a wonderful couple who answer the texts and phone calls when we direct booked with them. Very kind, helpful and responsive. |The motel is clean, well maintained and comfortable for our stay. |We stayed in Queen Room #29. The bed had a queen memory foam type mattress which was nice. The room had a desk, microwave and mini fridge. Nice to have the mini fridge for our beverages and leftovers from eating out. |The decor in the room is a little dated however did not at all influence our stay as we were here for a place to base out of, sleep comfortably and be able to clean up and get ready for our family gathering. |The rate for our stay was very good! |The owners take pride

We rented one of the cabins. Very cute and cozy for a weekend get away. The owners are super friendly and fun to chat with. We traveled with our dog. They have a nice grassy area for her to explore and dog bags. Set up very nice for pets.I was there to go Troll hunting in Detroit Lakes. I would definitely return for any future adventures in the area.

We had a great time exploring state parks, large animal statues, trolls, and other art using the Pelican Motel as our base. The motel was clean, the bed was comfy, and Joe was so friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. Loved the aesthetics and retro sign as well!
