Park Plaza Hotel

I absolutely ADORE this hotel. It reminds me of Chateau Marmont, with its 100 year old history, and eclectic decor. A TREASURE well suited for artsy couples. If you appreciate authenticity, and charm; and a New Orleans style balcony to observe life below - this is your place. Perfectly located for promenading past the shops and cafes lining the park. This seasoned treat requires a sophisticated palate. I stay here whenever I visit Winter Park. BIG LOVE to The PPH.

As reviews mention, it is an old "vintage" hotel in the heart of historic Winter Park. I knew not to come in expecting anything fabulous. It's old, it hasn't been maintained well, which is too bad. It doesn't need to be gutted and renovated which would ruin the charm, but basic maintenance would be a good idea. Mold on the bathroom walls could be easily taken care of, repairing the plaster and tile in the bathroom would be a nice touch. The train was annoying, yes but I got used to it. The staff was friendly and polite. Be warned about staying in room 203 which is connected by a door that doesn't close all the way to room 201 so it sounds like the person next door is in the room with you. Came here for a last-minute weekend away and really enjoyed the place. Yes, it was old; yes, the bathroom was small, but we knew what to expect. It was very clean and comfortable. It has a perfect location. We walked from the Amtrak station and walked everywhere we went. No need for a car. Overall, a nice classic hotel.

I love this hotel! It's a slice of Winter Park history. Just walking through the halls, you can feel it all around you. I stayed in the honeymoon suite with views of the beautiful Winter Park Rose garden & Park Ave. It's walking distance from all of the shops, restaurants, bars, & even Hannibal Square if you're up for a small hike. The staff is so accommodating (very clean & extra pillows are just a phone call away) & the valet does a wonderful job w/ your bags & your car. In the morning, there's coffee & tea to grab before a long day of shopping. So wonderful! Can't wait for my next visit!
