Park Place Inn And Cottages

I’ve stayed at a lot of vacation rentals around Sanford, but this was my favorite. Communication was great and the check-in / check-out process was seamless. The space was well appointed and clean. The beds were comfortable and the A/C was cold. The location was also perfect. It’s so close to downtown. I will definitely be back.

On arrival the owner informed us that there was building work for a small restaurant being carried out on the lower floor beneath our booked apartment and work started at 9am. This was OK with us as early risers but the fact that this work went on until 6pm, six days a week, did not make for a tranquil and peaceful vacation. We had Ivy Cottage which was very spacious with the lounge and both bedrooms being very spacious, and very comfortable. However, the bathroom and kitchen left much to be desired. The bathroom in general needed a complete updating and the shower head was that dirty that I had to clean it thoroughly before we could use it. Also there was no air extractor working there. Excellent stay. This is a very nice, clean, cozy, and quiet Inn located in a mostly residential area of Sanford, several blocks south of the shops and market area near Lake Monroe. All online check-in and check-out was convenient but we never actually saw or interacted with anyone running/managing the Inn, even when we got there around 7 pm. This was a bit unusual as it's kind of nice to have someone greet you and share some information. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars for service. We were visiting to see our daughter perform at the Boots & Roots Festival in Sanford.

What an absolutely beautiful place! From the moment we drove in and saw the beautiful porch, garden and patio, we knew this was special! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and so cozy with beautiful antique pieces throught. We had 2 beautiful bedrooms, each with a 1/2 bath and a 3rd HUGE bathroom just steps away from each bedroom with a magnificent soaking tub, where the charm and beauty continued. If you want romantic, cozy, nostalgia this is the place! Check in couldn't have been easier, the saddest part was staying only a night. We can't wait to go back.!!

Room 1307 was setup for disabled and was very clean. It was like a studio apartment. Was close to historic district with great shops and restaurants as well as open air marketing Saturdays. Had books to read if needed but would have been nice if some games on the shelf for evening or bad weather fun. Since it turned cold during our stay the electric heater was helpful as was the fan on warmer days. Had a wall unit which we didn't have to use. This room worked great for us! Changing a plug to have USB ports would be handy. Bring plug for electronics with cord for now.
