Paramount Motel

Although some of the reviews are pretty bad, we were going to take a chance and stay here. I called to make a reservation for 2 nights. The woman told me that someone would call me back in 15 minutes to confirm the reservation. No one ever called. I think we may have been lucky that we didn't stay...

This is a dirty, stinky, out dated motel with rude unaccommodating staff. I drove over 900 miles to visit friends, arriving around 6:00 am. This was the only pet friendly hotel with a vacancy I was able to find at 5:30 am when I called to find a room. I was told they had a room available for that night at a rate of $50 per night. When I checked I was charged $65. I assumed that I was paying for the entire day and 1 night. They still use the old fashioned regular keys instead of key cards for the rooms. After being on the road for 14 hours, I was so exhausted I thought the key tag read # 6. When I opened the door to room # 6 there was someone in the bed. The manager showed me that the key tag was for room # 9. The same key unlocked the doors to room # 6 and # 9. I felt unsecure knowing that

After booking at 7:30pm we stopped for dinner. After 40-50 minutes, I received an email saying I should call a number otherwise they’d cancel. It turns out the payment was setup to be collected at the property. The rude Indian man could have explained the situation instead of yelling ‘no charge, no room.’ It was indicated in the email. I’ve never experienced something like that booking with Agoda, Expedia, Booking.com, Accor, Bonvoy). Absolutely appalling. The room was adequate. It would have been an otherwise good stay if not for that unpleasant and poorly handled situation.

Lovely to stay at the hotel very calm and relaxed environment and unique room decor loved it

Staff make you feel right at home. Quiet location and has an outdoor pool.
