Pandale Crossing River Resort

The river is joyful for kids. I saw a five year old boy catching catfish, bass, and small crappy. People were floating on kayaks, paddle boats, flat bottom boats with trolling motor, and inflatables. Plenty of space and coolers. People just seemed genuinely happy. Be mindful of the game warden checking fishing licenses, border patrol, and law enforcement officer's in the area. Cabins for rent or camping is desirable. No man's land of Val Verde Texas. Bring sunscreen! Bring eats because town is almost a 100 mile roundtrip.

Place has great potential for a 'get away from it all' kind of stay. However, I called several times before and after booking and no one answered or called back. I arrived to basically a ghost town, no campers or employees anywhere to be seen so I decided not to stay. BEWARE if you're towing a camper, have an RV that isn't high clearance or a smaller car, the road in from the north is rough but the road in/out from the south to Hwy 90 is 26 miles of some of the roughest dirt roads that'll beat the heck out of your camper. DO not take the south route with an RV.

such a great place to go with others, I go every year, also great herpin nearby, road from the south is easy even in a good sedan, but you'll be fine with about anything

Enjoyed our stay. Lana Brookes was great and made sure we were informed and happy with accommodations. Nice quiet and way out in the boonies. Great Place!

We had a blast at this honey hole. We reserved a primitive campsite which is separated enough apart that you feel secluded. The last 15 miles or so to the resort is Caliche and the road down to the camping is a little tight with brush so don't bring your Prius city slickers! This is West Texas and basically off grid so plan accordingly. All around great resort from our experience and if you're looking for a place to check out for a few days, this is it. Thanks for having us and we'll be back.
