Pacific Sunset Inn

Based on the pics we expected an older, old-style motel. Based on the reviews we were expecting some updates and an okay place to stay. Well, it was old. Our room was clean but run down. It had base board heat that was turned off when we arrived. We understand it costs money to heat empty rooms, however it was 50 degrees outside and the room was freezing. |The bathroom was small and had no outlets. On the plus side we had a good size refrigerator, table and chairs, and the owner upgraded us to a suite. It was just okay. We recommend calling ahead and having them turn on the heat if you think you will need it!

If you just need a place to rest your head at night this place is perfect. There’s no special amenities no frills, but it’s affordable. It’s quite safe clean. I have no complaints. Less than 3min away from the beach. Plus food, gas & stores less than a minute in any direction.

Stayed here for three nights. Choices are limited in Brookings, and this place had some of the better reviews....that's why I chose it. Room was clean and had all we needed. It is nothing fancy, and is quite outdated....but that's okay by us. Bed was comfortable, fridge (which is adorable!), microwave, heater and tv all worked just fine. Location is right on the highway but noise at night was not an issue. Fantastic bakery, Honey Bee, super close....must try!! Office does not open until 3:00, so no checking in even the slightest bit early. Would stay here again!!

Nice clean room, covered parking, friendly helpful staff. Overall it was a great 2 night stay. Price was great.

It's pretty basic accommodations, but if you're on a budget and just want a clean room, it's great! There is no air conditioning, which was not a deal breaker for me, but if you want fresh air, you have to keep the door to your room open, as the only other window is a small one in the bathroom. The location was great and the staff was friendly.
