Wild Rivers Motorlodge

Great price for the accommodations. Walkable to a few restaurants and a cute older section of town. Very simple and clean rooms. There were a couple super minor asthetic things upon check in, but nothing to cry about. I did let the staff know when I checked out. The manager or owner was super nice and helpful when I checked out. He even gave me a box and printed a shipping label for me at no cost, so I could ship something in town. I felt safe and secure. I would 100% go back.

Comfy, cozy, clean, beautiful morning sunlight, large bay windows, view of ocean. This place is obviously older but has been updated well. The service was nice and to the point. It was very quiet and no one bothered us. Conveniently located next to the harbour and the mouth of down town. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Wild River Motorlodge is right on Hwy 101; however, there was no problem with road noise. We did run the air conditioning so if there was noise it was masked by the air conditioner. The room was spacious and comfortable. The mini-refrigerator was a good size with ample space in a freezer compartment to hold all my ice packs. We parked right outside the room which made it convenient for unloading and loading. The front was very friendly and helpfu.

I booked this place for a quiet, low-distraction stay and unfortunately it missed the mark in some important ways. While the price is cheap, the room showed clear signs of long-term neglect rather than just being “dated.” The baseboard heater was visibly rusted and dirty, vents and fixtures were grimy, shelving and furniture were chipped, and practically all surfaces and areas of the room showed visible dirt/dust/filth. This isn’t a single missed cleaning, it looks like months, if not years, of deferred maintenance. The fridge was another issue: it barely cooled at all and had heavy ice buildup in the freezer area, which suggests it hasn’t been properly defrosted or serviced in quite some time. The room was simple and basic, but the price was righ,t and it had everything that I needed, coffee and coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer…. It was chilly in the room when I arrived but the in-room heater warmed the room up quickly. I slept well, so the bed was comfortable. It was a convenient walk around the corner to a good restaurant for dinner. The young man who checked me in and out was efficient and kindly answered some local questions. My only suggestion would be to replace all the disposable, single use items with refillable shampoo, soap, conditioner… and real coffee cups, to help reduce plastic waste. Thank you.
