OurGuest Inn & Suites Downtown Port Clinton

The price was awesome! Every person that I spoke with was super friendly, even the housekeeping person. They had coffee in the morning and even a refrigerator with drinks at a reasonable price. We stayed in the main building where the reception desk is. The interior of the hotel is vintage and well decorated. All the hallways were painted a pinkish color. Our room was clean and well accommodating. The only criticism I have is both queen beds were a bit worn. You could spend an extra hundred dollars per night and get a nicer bed. We were able to walk downtown to the restaurants for dinner. Everything there is close.

Positive: Clean, conveniently located. Negative: The decor is about 35 years old, and our sofa had a rip in the seat cushion. HOWEVER, we spent so little time in the room that it was okay.

Friendly and competent staff that accommodated a large family last minute. Very affordable and great services for the price. Enjoyed the location and proximity to stores/restaurants

This hotel group has, let’s say, three properties it owns(?) manages(?). The main house where you check in, the ‘annex’ behind the Wendy’s, and the Island House up the street, which was lovely and we’ve stayed at before. We were only in town for a day for business and there were no rooms available at the Island House property, so I thought, well, we enjoyed our stay there, why wouldn’t we here? To say our room in the annex was ‘tired’ would be an understatement. Besides the extremely outdated walls, light fixtures, carpeting, wallpaper w smudges where light switches are, only two pillows, a king mattress so soft we rolled to the interior when testing it out, etc, - immediately upon entering the room, we were greeted with a huge waft of wet, stale cigarettes. In fact, it was so prevalent,

They have a lot of leaks here. We were put into a room that was being fixed and there was a bunch of supply’s to fix the celling. We were moved to a better room which was an upgrade. Downside was I had to use the couch to sleep on. The people here were okay not much to say about that. When I’d open the door it would hit the pull out couch. The pull out couch mattress was so uncomfortable to sleep on. The blanket was so thin I asked for another one and they basically handed me a big towel. I’d stick with getting a room with two beds if you have four people. The jacuzzi was nice. The location is perfect you can walk around instead of driving to places. The pool area was really nice the pool was tiny so I could play mermaids in it unfortunately but it’s cute. The inside of the building is sup
