Otter Creek Inn Eau Claire Altoona

Cozy, traditional B&B with delicious breakfast, a gorgeous reception area & wonderful offerings. The building is beautiful. The room I stayed in was across from the highway, so I could hear the traffic, so if that bugs you that's something to consider. I liked the ease of access to the highway and businesses. What's even better is supporting a local business & family.

The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The exception was the whirlpool tub running in another room after 10:00p.m. two nights which actually shook our floor. Not sure if the owners know how much the whirlpools noise and vibrations bleed into the other rooms. However, I give it a 3 out of 5 only because it is not your typical bed and breakfast experience so it did not meet our expectations. As an example, breakfast was not included, but was extra. We did order breakfast the first day, but the person serving it was very impersonal referring to us as room #3 instead of by our first or last names or not even asking our names. Beautiful house, setting, rooms and very comfortable and clean environment! My husband and I stayed there for the first time ever this weekend and stayed 2 nights for a simple honeymoon, in (ironically) the honeymoon suite. Full, 2 person jacuzzi, a nice view of the back yard, comfortable bed, really nice! Very quiet, especially at night with the Christmas decorations up, it just feels like you're in your own home, so the whole vibe just hit different than any other places I've been to. It snowed heavily the day before we left, the owners were kind enough to give us a discount on another night if we weren't able to go home the next day, which was super nice! But, we did manage to make it home, thankfully. Best part is...KID FREE!! LOL 😆

Super nice Homestead type of Hotel, 7 rooms, with excellent breakfast. This place is much better than any hotel at this price level. We stayed in the largest room. Everything even better than the pictures tell. We will definitly come back. The family that host this place are very nice people as well. We have stayed hundred of nights in hotels all over US, this one is the nicest of all, no matter of famous brands. Best regards Haakon Wiig and Anne Berit from Norway.

Would be 4.5 if we could give half stars. The place is lovely and very cute! The room we stayed in was very cozy, but some of the trappings are getting a bit worn. The jacuzzi is nice but surrounded by carpet. The breakfast was great, the communication was marvelous, just needs some touch ups. We had a wonderful time.
