Evenox Motel

I loved the aesthetic of the room, but it was dusty and cobwebs were in all nooks and corners. $75/night was too much for what was offered. Motel6 offers more modern amenities and greater value. Or Econo-lodge.

Kelly was a great host for the weekend, she accommodated our requests and was knowledgeable of the area and made many good recommendations. The showers here were better than any hotel I've stayed at, the pressure was great and the water got up to temperature quickly (and I like a hot shower). My only complaint about the room is that it could use a bright ceiling light to brighten up the whole space when the blinds are closed. Handicap visitors may want to call ahead with questions

Planning to drive straight from Indiana to Duluth MN, we changed our mind after supper in Eau Claire WI. ||||As we drove Business US-53 north through Eau Claire, we crossed into Altoona WI and passed the Evenox Motel. The motel faces US-53 (Business), but its rooms stretch along the side street. Each room has adjoining walls to the ones next to it. Each room has a parking spot and an entrance from the parking lot. The side adn back walls are painted cement block. The front wall is 1 X 6 planking, as is the arched ceiling with wooden cant beams. Two queen beds flank a night stand. ||||The bathroom had a porcelain sink atop a white cabinet. The walls were ceramic tile. There was a large tiled walk-in shower. ||||Our nightstand had a Bible and a small greeting card from the owners. It thanked

I had never been able to get a room there before. I had always had my dog. Even though he was a service animal he did shed horribly. I found the room pleasant. The high ceiling in my room was a feature I found to be a nice architectural touch to the classic American feel of the room. I loved the tile in the bathrooms walk-in shower and the vibe extended past my in-room experience to the Lady who managed the motel very well. I had just experienced major loss of a beloved pet and even though not allowing pets a yellow tabby kitten ran into my room while I smoked outside. It went under the bed and wouldn't come out. I woke latter to a purring kitten around my neck and I was finally not alone. I'm sorry about the kitten but it healed my broken heart. Thank Evenox Motel. Thank you much.

Well, normally I would go to the Best Western or a Marriot Hotel and Motels aren’t my first or second choices but on this trip from Long Island,NY to the Chippewa Falls area and meeting up with several others from Long Island and Oklahoma for a wedding of my nephew we all decided to choose staying at the Evenox Motel. The room is a dated scene from the ‘70’s which was ok ( I grew up in the 60’s & ‘70’s). It was really a nice stay. The rooms were very clean, the bed not too hard or soft ( I prefer soft but I slept well ). As one reviewer mentioned, when the blinds were closed the room was dark but I heard they have new brighter lamps with USB’s in them 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Great choice.
