Open Hearth Inn

My husband is a MDI native, his dad still lives there. Typically he’s not into trying out any lodging around the area. However, he enjoyed this immensely! Myself and our son are hooked on this spot as well! Talk about feeling at home!! We felt like we were crashing at a relatives house. So cozy, so comfortable! The shared common areas are truly wonderful. The room itself was perfect, especially if you need to prep your own food. Nothing negative really to say. WiFi could be a bit better for those of us that need to work while we play, but truthfully that’s digging deep just to find that to say. We praised this spot heavily our entire overnight. Excited to try some of their other offerings. We did film our experience and our video will soon be featured on Hammocks to Coasters on YouTube.

Everything about our stay was amazing! It's got all you need, a firepit, a communal hot tub, and a huge common area with board games, snacks, and a kitchen! The rooms were so nice and tidy and was less than 30 minutes to Acadia. Really made our visit in Maine truly unforgettable. Definitely will come back at some point again!

Cute little spot close to it all. We had 2 br cottage #9. If you don't mine small rooms it fits all you need. Comfy beds. Hot shower. Clean rooms. Mini fridge. TVs with roku for all the streaming platforms to fall alseep to. Floor was slightly slanted being the only semi complaint but place it like over 100 yrs old so I give it grace. Coffee/bakery across the street is amazing. Easy check in process and informative hosts thru email & website. It's not fancy, but cozy and charming.

It was right off route 3 which made it super easy to get to and from Acadia National Park in the snow/icy conditions! Nothing like hiking in the snow and rain to come back and use a hot tub! Loved it, and the kitchen was fully stocked! Stayed in one of the cottages! To get to Acadia in the winter you can’t use the hill cove (main) entrance, go around bar harbor along route 3 until you reach schooner road, then follow that into the park!

We loved stayed at Open Hearth Inn! We even added a second night. We stayed in Cabin 12 the first night which was really awesome. And then we stayed in Apartment 6 which was even better because it had a full kitchen. I really loved how they had EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, we needed. Towels, kitchen utensils and cookware, Roku for the TV, blankets, heater, dehumidifier, etc. Truly such an amazing stay. My husband and dog really loved it. We went to the hot tub both nights to dethaw from the 20° weather. The host is super responsive and so kind. I want to come back!!!
