Olde Amish Inn Ronks

First off, nothing Amish about this. Booked with Hotels.com, day of check in. The listing says no smoking. (And as I discovered, there are half a dozen no smoking signs leading up to the front desk.) I opened the door to the lobby and immediately smelled smoke. Didn’t even check in. Still was only able to get 2 out of 3 nights refunded. The hotel got $66 from me for doing absolutely NOTHING but accepting my digital, automated reservation. So I spent time and energy and money, and got nothing, while the motel got money. It’s a flop house. Be warned. Any defensive reply by the owner is admission of taking my money and running. If owner refunds the full amount I’ll remove this review. I have nothing against these kinds of hotels, hell, I’ve used them from time to time, but I didn’t want one t

For the price, this place is great. Everything worked, the service was attentive, the area was fine, and I would definitely go back. It appears that the operator maintains living quarters in an apartment in the building. It's a no frills hotel - if you want frills, pay extra for them. If you want a cheap place to sleep near Strasburg, this is the place to pick.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious, clean and budget friendly. The guy at the front desk was kind enough to meet my special requests. Perfect location. If you're passing through, it's worth considering a stay here.

To say this room was an extreme disappointment would be an understatement! The shower enclosure was full of black mold! Several of the electrical outlets weren’t properly covered or installed. Wires were hanging out and almost no place to plug in a phone. The owner refused to give us our money back on our second night and wouldn’t even move us to another room saying there were no vacancies even though the parking lot was almost empty. The room had a bad odour, probably from the mold which caused me to develop a cough in the night. Never again! Stay well clear of this place!

One of the dirtiest places I have been. Ceiling was loose in room, mirror was off wall and lying in floor, bathroom wall was falling into tub, .m also rooms were not like any pictures on there websiteold in grout, and out of the 2 rooms we had rented neither toilet flushed.loud apparent drug party in room next to ours and carried on out into parking lot.
