Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins and Campground

We had a fantastic experience at Okefenokee Pastimes! We stayed 2 nights on our way down to FL from Chicago. While we love to tent camp, we did not want to haul all of our stuff, so we opted for a Basic Cabin. The cabin exceeded our expectations and was spotless and fully stocked with linens, towels, a heater and window AC unit, mini fridge, microwave, and even a Keurig and some coffee pods with bottled water! Our cabin had a double and twin bed (score because we thought it was 2 twins from the photos online). We were able to buy beer and firewood at the main check-in area, and there is also a small restaurant and bar (we did not use this, but it looked nice!) The campsite was clean, and the shower was nice. The best thing was the observatory site, where I was able to see the Milky Way when the sky was clear. The staff were super nice and so helpful.

Our stay at Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins andCampground was absolutely amazing! The manager, Ray, was outstanding, as was the entire staff. I work in retail management, and experiencing this level of genuine customer service was truly a breath of fresh air. Society often seems to have forgotten what real hospitality looks like—but not here. You could truly feel their sincere desire to make guests happy. We traveled as a group of 16, and every single one of us felt welcomed, valued, and appreciated. To make our stay even more special, we celebrated two birthdays during our visit, and Ray went above and beyond by making a cake for “The Bobs”. That kind of thoughtfulness and hospitality is rare and will never be forgotten. We cannot recommend Okefenokee Campground highly enough.

We had an amazing stay. The staff truly sets this place apart, friendly, attentive, and always a step ahead of what you need. From check in to check out, we felt taken care of in a way that is rare. The grounds are beautiful, wide open, peaceful, and full of tall trees that give you space and shade. It never feels crowded, just calm and easy to relax. The amenities are top tier. The restaurant and bar were a huge plus, great food, great drinks, and a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. The camp store is loaded with options, snacks, drinks, supplies, and little extras that make your stay simple and stress free. We loved having so many ways to stay. You can choose from RV sites, cabins, primitive tent sites, or fun glamping spots, so it works for every type of traveler. This p

Nice RV park campground. Good staff and good location to the swamp. Nice little general store as well for things we forgot to bring. For tent camping I found a spot down 121 on the FL/GA line in St George named "blackwater" that has a more nature feel and is on river that flows from the swamp it turns out. Overall not a bad place.
