Ocean Waves Hotel

I was reading the reviews...which i have to admit i hated to see such poor reviews for here. I must admit this is definitely not the best hotel ever but the lady who runs it goes above and beyond for the guest here and treats everyone with respect and seems to help alot of the extended stayers I have been here 2 weeks now and I love the little tight nit family feel here so thanks ocean wave!!! Not only was it absolutely disgusting in the lobby and around the property, but the owner is a very dishonest person who is only out to make a buck, even if it hurts honest and hard working customers. ||||Who gives a “cash” security deposit back when paying with a card? That’s because no one gets their deposits back. Read the online reviews. Person after person and person complains of this. Another way to make a quick buck off travelers. Half the people there look like they’ve actually been living there. Very shady people. ||||And who sells HOOKAHS in their motel lobby??? Next to an open box of tampons!?! So cheap and trashy. I needed a space for one night. I am a local and work nearby. At first I was pleased because they didn't expect a cash deposit of $100 like most places do for locals. I even helped the front desk lady with her indeed resume and applications for a few jobs. I was relaxing and then around 2 a.m. some dudes were outside my room while one was banging on the door next to mine. I asked what was up and was told to mind my business. Said this was my business now as I am being disturbed... ended up having to call the cops and push my dresser in front the door since the deadbolt didn't work at all and there was no chain. Then housekeeping banged on my door at 830 this morning... checkout isn't til 11. My night of rest was a nightmare. Do not go to this place. If you have kids or expect a good nig

I would give this a 0 star rating. We stayed 1 night and it was bad. We have 4 kids and youngest is 10 months. Lots of things broken in the room. Wires coming out of the wall and our youngest could easily get hold of them. Pool wasn't working and wasn't told anything about it not working. Tub was draining. They tried charging us $25 for a towel that was supposedly stained but they couldn't show proof of it. And I know dang well no towels were stained by us as we didn't have drinks or food in our room at all. We took a shower and slept and then checked out next morning. Our other room the fridge was dirty. Stay away from this place don't waste your money here is a very dirty, money hungry place that is run down.

My experience wasn’t as bad as some patrons here. The little older lady that checks us in to the rooms is sweet but I can tell she takes no Crap which this place needs that due to its past clientele the location needs a dumpster on site so that the little older lady isn’t fighting trying to load her car up with trash I’ve seen the owner twice he seems like nice Guy just needs help running the place. There is this guy renting in the first Floor he should be running the hotel his attitude and perspective is truly bright when it comes to life the young man came here. From Nc And from just a small piece of his story that he shared I’m motivated to take on the world.
