Ocean Reef Resort

Took the family down for a quick getaway at an awesome price. Was pleasantly surprised when you walk in. It smelled amazing. Everything was so clean An updated! Definitely did not feel like some of the Myrtle Beach properties we’ve stayed before. Our room look like a five star hotel.!! We stayed in room 612. It was perfect view oceanfront!! The unit was fully renovated and still had the new smell💕! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I liked how they had a pullout sofa so the kids have their own space.! From the breakfast buffet to Oceanfront bar this place exceeded my expectation will be back!!!!

The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are comfortable with a pull out bed which was also comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The indoor pool and bathroom area is well kept and clean. My kids enjoyed the game room which was a bonus and the beach was just right outside the pool area. They have a breakfast buffet and also a bar on sight for the grown folks😉The elevators and entire building smelled good and very clean. Check in was easy and again its nothing like having a great staff that is welcoming. I will definitely be back again and again.

My husband stayed here January 17-19 as we have for many years. The view is amazing! When we first arrived and pulled back the sheets, the sheets were soiled. It was on both the fitted sheet and the top sheet. We told the front desk about it. She sent sheets up with my husband saying that housekeeping would come change them. They never came. So we changed our own sheets. When we spoke to front desk and let them know that we had to change the sheets ourselves, she seemed unaffected. Yet she did give us a free breakfast for our last morning. The breakfast was amazing and the people serving our breakfast was amazing. The outcome is that we will have a hard time returning which makes me sad.

Positive: The location right on the beach was great. The staff were very friendly. Negative: Many repairs needed: sink faucet & toilet needed to be replaced. Fridge freezer was leaking water into fridge which was set too cold and froze on my salad mix. Carpet felt damp. We reported a natural gas leak, noticed on the balcony, never fixed.

The check in process was great, the young lady who checked us in was professional and knowledgeable about her job. She took her time and explained everything to us and politely answered our questions. The resort was clean and organized. The room was cute, designed just like the advertised photos. Our oceanroom view was Ahhhhmazing!!!!! We didn't take advantage of the indoor pool, or the Cafe but we will on our next visit. Overall it was a great place to stay.
