Ocean Reef Hotel

I stayed here for 3 nights prior to a cruise. People were friendly and helpful. They even posted a parcel for me. The room was clean and adequate. There is a central lift to access upstairs rooms and a pool to cool off in. I found a snacks machine which was good for cold drinks. I discovered it is opposite Mc Donalds so breakfasts were easy to get. The pizza restaurant there is also great.

During our trip through Florida, we had the pleasure of staying one night at the Ocean Reef Hotel, and it was truly a great experience. Upon arrival, we found the reception closed, but it wasn’t long before a very friendly lady came to assist us with check-in. She had just gone out to grab a bite to eat, which is completely understandable – everyone needs food! Once we got to our hotel room, we were pleased to find it clean, well-maintained, and above average in size. Although there were a few minor maintenance issues, what mattered most was that the beds were extremely comfortable and everything was spotless.After checking in, we went out for a meal, but upon returning, we discovered that the parking lot was nearly full, making it difficult to find a spot. Kenecia at their front desk was wonderful! She was very professional, polite, and vey courteous. Kenecia was the highlight of this hotel. Very amazing lady! The location is good. However, the hotel itself is extremely dirty! 🤢 Hair was everywhere! On the bedding, floors, sink, bathroom walls, bathroom shower. 🤢 There was mold ALL around the bathroom. Heavy mold coming out of the ceiling in the bathroom. The floors were dirty. The air conditioner was EXTREMELY LOUD! To the point where you couldn’t sleep well. The bathroom door had a fist hole in it!🥴 The towels were disgusting 🤮. They had dark stains everywhere as if they were not cleaned. The room service attendants are very aggressive and annoying pre check out. They BAM 💥 on the door very angrily to let you know it’s almost check out

The first night woke to the police in front of our room and then they were there again in the morning for some person out of control. We also found the room to be damp. Bathroom extremely small. We had very loud neighbors on both sides of our room that were noisy to all hours of night. Was told couldn’t make a complaint unless it was to general manager who wouldn’t be back until we checked out. Asked for a $50 deposit but would t say for what. Wouldn’t stay again felt very unsafe.

You get exactly what you pay for. The staff are friendly & helpful. The sheets are clean & not scented. The mattresses aren’t lumpy. The rooms are clean. The hot water works. The door lock works. The AC works. The wifi is good. If you’re looking for a 5 star hotel, go pay for a 5 star hotel.
