Oakwood Inn Town Motel

We stayed here with friends for a weekend visit. We stayed because it's close to other friends we know. We got to Maine earlier than expected in the day. We went to the hotel figuring we couldn't check in until much later. The lady in the office (maybe the owner ?) was so sweet and was very happy to let us in to our room early. She was so nice and we were grateful to get in early and rest. The room is so cute! Very big and the bathroom was huge. Room was charming and very clean. It's got a mini fridge and microwave. Romantic fireplace. Towels were very soft and very clean. Nice outdoor space to sit and visit with friends. The only down side is the chairs in the room were old and stained. Had a great stay. The front desk was more than helpful and very accommodating to every need. Promptly had my room ready even last minute. Was a very nice room and was just what I needed. Would 10 out of 10 recommend. I've stayed at the other few hotels in town and this is by far the best value, best service and cleanest rooms available!

My inlaws are staying here and i love the homey look inside the spaces clean rooms they are utilizing in there time of need. Also love the fact of how monitored it is very well lite up too for safety.

I love this place. Very clean, quiet and centrally located. I prefer to stay here. Just disappointed that there were not enough towels. That was my only complaint. There were 3 people but towels for 1

We stayed in the Katherine Hepburn room. The hotel has charm and appeal. Room was nice, but lacked upgrades, such as new air conditioners, lighting, and amenities. No in room coffee makers and no continental or sit down breakfast is offered. There are no desk/office attendants on duty on the weekends. The price is very high for what is not offered. Even though the room was basically clean, the window wells had cobwebs in them. It is noted that everyone working at the Oakwood Inn was very friendly and pleasant.
