Northwoods Lodge

This was a great find. We extended our stay after our 1st night and will go again! Lovely setting and nice amenities in the room. Had a great little kitchen table and 2 chairs, an easy chair, and chairs and table on the balcony. Like the keyless entry and the large fire-pit - they supplied the wood. Picnic table and grill. We were in Indian River to ride a side by side on the trails. Really close and beautiful trails! Great restaurants in town. Had breakfast at Christopher's Cafe - perfect.

As many other reviewers have mentioned, the lobby is not staffed. When I arrived, the door was locked, with a note and a phone number on it. It took a few tries to reach the owner, who was out for dinner, so couldn't help me, but suggested I go back and knock on the door, and the summer student there would help me. She was very sweet, and tried, but had apparently been left to man the fort with NO training.She called the other owner, and handed the phone to me, so I could check in with him over the phone. He was working at a water park at the time, so "Checking in" involved shouting all my credit card information to him over the sounds of many loudly screaming children. The room was clean, but very musty/moldy smelling. No phone. No info. on when "breakfast" (which turned out to be a grano

This place will always be my favorite place to stay. I’ve been going here since childhood. Price was fair, rooms are always clean. They don’t steal your stuff like Brentwood Lodging does.

Stay was one night and we found the room spacious, comfortable, and priced well. The decor is older, but overall, this was better than we expected for the price. We had a scheduling mishap on our end and they worked with us, which was very kind. The breakfast was as described with a very nice common dining area. We would definitely return.

We've traveled quite a bit and were very impressed with how clean our room was. The woman taking care of breakfast and the lobby was helpful and very friendly. There were alot of activities and shopping close by. We would stay here again!
