North Yellowstone Lodge & Hostel

Great location! Peaceful! The river access is amazing. The hubby fished his heart out all week. There are a few poles to use here. Loaded kitchen. Homey lodge. I really have no complaints about this place. One suggestion- Need more space for trash, especially for large groups.

Pleasently surprised by this hostel- it is located about 10 miles north of Gardiner which is nice so you can get away from the busy tourist season. Located right on the river with a great view. Traditional hostel so a shared bathroom and bedrooms, the bathroom had beautiful tiling and was very clean. I was in a bunk room, which was also clean and had a mini fridge. No AC but not really needed since you are not there to hang out and cracking the window quickly brings the temp down with MT weather. Kitchen had everything you need to make your own meal. Loved the record player and low key vibe. Hostel cat and dog made it even more enjoyable. You do have to strip the linens and bring them in, which was not really a pain. I am just lazy.

This place is so beautiful! We rented it out for a retreat and it was just the perfect size and layout, and everything was so clean. The rooms are apart from the main house so it stays nice and quiet when you sleep. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of fridge/freezer space. The backyard and orchard are perfect for watching the river and the stars at night. Really hope I get the chance to come back someday.

I cannot describe the calm I felt when me, my wife, and two kids under 6 stayed here for a weekend. The family and staff are thoughtful and inviting. The rooms are small, but updated and clean, so perfect for a base camp. The common living area is so comfortable, with vinyl playing in the background, coffee always ready, and sunny views. If you want an affordable, warm place to stay, I highly recommend this family-friendly hostel.

We had the most wonderful stay the hostel. My wife and I I didn't know what to expect from the community-based experience, but it was fantastic! The river was beautiful and peaceful and right next to the hostel, we enjoyed eating and drinking next to it and socializing with the other friendly hostel participants. But most of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming we loved them! There was a very nice Community Kitchen with some spices and condiments to boot. The room was really just a bed since there was a shared restroom, but it was clean and comfy. We had a fantastic stay and recommend it to anyone, we surely will stay there again when in the area!
