National Hotel Jackson, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Location is awesome in downtown jackson, everything else not so much. Our room had a balcony, but our room itself was the size of a closet. The restaurant downstairs never got us our dinner after two hours of waiting. Went downstairs in the morning for the breakfast; only to be charged 30 bucks? You would assume it would be free if you’re staying there. The breakfast “buffet” ran out of food after us, making the other paying guests wait for more to be cooked lol.

Lovely historic hotel with modern accommodations. Easily accessible parking and lots of fun walkable places to eat, drink and shop. Wonderful staff at the desk 24/7 for help & recommendations. Cute rooms with heated bathroom floors (A+ this winter). The restaurant & bar are cozy & tasty!

My stay at the National Hotel in Jackson was absolutely wonderful. The building is beautifully restored, keeping its 19th-century character while offering modern comfort and warmth. From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and well cared for. My room was spotless and cozy, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the whole atmosphere carried that rare sense of calm you only find in places with real history. A special thank you to Ian and Kara for going above and beyond during my stay. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made me feel truly valued and at home. Whether it was sharing local stories or checking to be sure I had everything I needed, they made the experience unforgettable. I’ll definitely return — this hotel is a real gem in the heart of Jackson.

I was not impressed by this place and thought it was very overpriced for what it was. I get it that it's an old historic building, and that aspect was cool. But to me it just seemed more rundown and dingy than charming and quaint. I had a queen balcony room with city view and it was TINY. There was only room for the bed - not even a chair or anything. It was very claustrophobic. The balcony was shared so I wasn't really comfortable leaving the balcony door open for fresh air. I was imaging it would overlook a cute small town street but in reality the view was unattractive and there was a lot of noise. Overall it was fine, the staff was nice, I just didn't find it very appealing.

We had a great one night stay! Rooms were super clean, high end toiletries, and we had heated floors in our bathroom (unsure if this is all rooms or just the honeymoon suite). Note, the city view patios are not private, it’s shared across the second floor. Was not a problem, kinda cool. This was the first hotel tv I’d come across that actually had all streaming services accessible (some had to log in, but HBO was free!). What really made our stay was the bar downstairs. Fun place to have a few drinks and stumble back up to your room. Bartender, Carl, was the absolute best - so fun, made great drinks, and worked so hard considering how busy it was. He deserves a raise. Food was great - especially the steak medallions! From check in to check out, we had a great experience.
