Unit #129 – “Totally 80’s Condo” (Booked via Expedia/VRBO) – Do Not Recommend We booked Unit #129 through Expedia/VRBO. The listing name was “Totally 80’s Condo,” but it wasn’t retro or thoughtfully themed — it was simply outdated. The furniture and rugs were worn, and there was visible mildew in the shower. It did not match the photos. We were inside the unit for less than an hour before stepping out to get food. When we returned, the door code had been changed and we were locked out with all of our belongings still inside. The host gave us multiple codes that did not work. We called the police. The responding officer also tried the code and could not get in. Even with law enforcement present, the host refused to provide access to the unit we paid for. We were left outside from around
We booked at the Myrtle Beach Resort through a newer rental agency called Beach Rental Realty. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. They helped us pick a condo that would suit our needs, and boy they were right! We had a fantastic 2 bedroom condo in the Renaissance Tower with a view of the coastline for miles! While at the resort we enjoyed the beachfront bar called the Quarterdeck. The food was great and the service was top notch. We loved the bam bam shrimp and the entertainment was great! This was a great feature we couldn't really find in very many places and it made it so we felt like we really never needed to leave. We could just walk down there and enjoy the view right on the beach and the entertainment each night without having to fight traffic or worry about getting ba
Listen, I didn’t expect to love this stay as much as I did, but Myrtle Beach Resort really surprised me! 🌴☀️ I booked a private Airbnb condo and it was stunning. Two bedrooms, two full baths, a full kitchen, dining area, and living room, everything felt spacious, clean, and comfortable. It easily slept six, with a king in one room, a queen on the bottom and twin on top in the other, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. The resort had so much to do, a playground, a pool, and even a waterpark! 🛝💦 Beach access was super easy too, just a short walk and you’re right on the sand. 🏖️ Now real talk, the outside of the resort could use a little love. It’s definitely showing its age, and the elevator decided to be moody a few times. 😅 But the condo itself? Gorgeous. The kind of place that makes
We booked this room to be near our family who was staying at the Lakewood campground next door. The location is great, right next to the beach with very easy access. The room was small, but it was clean and functional. Check-in was seamless and the people were friendly and helpful. Instructions for checking in were very accurate. The building is obviously older, and could use some spot cleaning in the common areas, such as carpets in the hallways and the areas around the elevators on each floor. We were hoping to have access to an ice machine, but were disappointed to not find one.
I loved the resort and all the amenities. However there is one dangerous downfall. And when I say downFALL, I mean FALL. We stayed in the Renaissance building and enjoyed the hot tub. However, out of all of them that they have onsite, this one has a downward slope that you have to walk on to get to the table and then exit the room. The floor is smooth concrete with drains for any residual water to drain along with wet floor signs. I had been there previously and knew it could be slippery. I was in the hot tub after 4pm on 9/22 and got out and walked slowly to the table, however, my feet slipped out from under me and I fell backwards very hard and banged my head hard on the floor. Two people in the hot tub asked me was I alright as I laid there moaning in extreme pain and wanting to cry. I
