My Place Hotel-Grand Rapids, MN

We stayed a couple nights here as we were out riding the Mesabi trail. We booked on our way up here and we happily found out the room had a full size fridge and a stove/microwave. We packed all our food for 5 days and had it in coolers with Ice so we were able to unload it all and save on food and we cooked in the room, stove worked great! And grilled in the parking lot another night, that just so happened to have a light show going on, the hotel is in a great location it has an empty space in front of it and close to restaurants. So they do not have a continental breakfast but you do get a percent off at the Boulder tap house and they have great food so check it out. They have some little things you can purchase to eat near the front desk, but since we packed our own food that didn’t real

Very knowledgeable and friendly desk attendant. Very clean bathroom well stocked. Bed and pillows comfortable. Location of motel good—off the main roads. Very quiet!

My companions and I had to stay in Grand Rapids for a conference and since I've stayed at My Place's before, I chose this location for us. I was not disappointed. The unit was very clean and of course, it includes a full kitchen, which would be very handy for people who wish to bring their own food. The woman at the front desk was kind, friendly and thoughtful. She got me signed up for a points program, and I very much appreciated. This is a good place to stay when traveling in the area.

Newer building, clean, comfortable bed, plenty of outlets, quiet, everything in working order, good shower, and sink top has plenty of room for 2 peoples stuff. Even has a full size fridge, stove top, microwave, and coffee maker.

We stayed here with several other families for my daughter’s lacrosse tournament. We stayed in a 2 queen bed+recliner+kitchenette room that was spacious, comfortable, and felt like home away from home. We were appreciative of the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, the amenities including the pool/outdoor pavilion, and the proximity to restaurants (Culver’s, Boulder Tap House, McDonalds, etc), and grocery stores. I was specifically appreciative of Hannah, the hotel staff who kept the coffee fresh in the morning, greeted all with a smile, and was professional and courteous with myself and other patrons. We would appreciative the opportunity to stay at this hotel for future lacrosse tournaments or other events. Thanks for a great first experience!
