my husband and I went up last minute and the suite was available. It was very clean and nice, the lake is beautiful, quiet area and good fishing. Lorrie and Jeff are wonderful Hosts. They let us come up early before check in and made sure if we needed anything to come ask. Wonderful place to be! Thank you!

Birch Bay Resort has been our vacation of choice for over 30 years. We feel like family when we arrive. Gorgeous sunsets and wonderful way to get away from it all. I am self employed but with their Wi-Fi that is available I can work from one of the best offices I have ever had. The fishing is great with clear water. Fishing variety does not get much better. The cabins are well maintained and homey. With a variety of cabin types it can be a wonderful place for family gatherings. We go twice a year spring and fall.

I got hooked on Birch Bay vacationing with two of my best friends 8 or 9 years ago! Started bringing our families and it turned out to be an annual vacation for us ever since, Birch Bay Resort out of Grand Rapids, MN is a hidden gem on Wabana Lake! I love the fishing, sunsets, and the wildness of the area! Our whole family loves coming and owners have become good friends! Self-contained cabins are great for families and it is a wonderful place to stay!

This resort is one of the best! From super clean cabins to beautiful views and great fishing, you won't find a better resort at which to stay. Lorrie & Jeff clearly take pride in providing top-notch service to their guests and make you feel like family. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in northern Minnesota!

Birch Bay Resort out of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, on beautiful Wabana Lake is just a gem. The self-contained cabins are perfect for families that want to relax, fish, swim, walk or just enjoy a beautiful peaceful setting. There is also a 'Suite' that is perfect for a couple. The owner-managers are best! They run a beautiful facility with grace, charm and efficiency. The resort store has many grocery items. If you're interested in a holiday spot that you will want to return to year after year, get in early!
