Murphy Inn

We ate at this restaurant for the first time today. The food was fantastic. My husband had fish and chips and I had a burger with fries. Everything was very flavorful and cooked well. We had great service. Someone came by, I think a manager, towards the end of our meal and wanted to make sure everything was OK and if you could do anything else for us. We’re definitely eat here again.

The Inn is a charming old boarding house decorated with beautiful antique furniture. I felt like I was in a movie setting. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was 'homemade' good. The main downtown plaza is a short walk from the inn. Across the street from the plaza is a boardwalk along the river. If you want a weekend getaway this is the place!

We four sisters went to the Murphy Inn for dinner on June 24th. Jenna was our highly professional and friendly server. The atmosphere felt very authentically Irish and the food was delicious. Grateful that original features including pocket doors have been kept. Great and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to return trips when again in this part of Michigan.

1st time here. Cute place. It's a restaurant along with an Inn. The atmosphere is very nice. There is a bar side which is more casual and then the other side which is quieter. The food was very good. There were 6 of us. Everyone's dinner was great. Service was pretty good. The server forgot to bring a couple items and had to be reminded. But overall, a great place. We will be back. Next time would love to stay at the Inn overnight!

My Mother and I had dinner last night, which was a Friday night. We had the all you can eat fish and chips. I had recently been ill, so this was my first real meal in a while. Let me tell you, the food was outstanding! The fish was so fresh & cooked to perfection. The batter was light, crispy & absolutely fantastic. We had the coleslaw & clam chowder to accompany our meals. The soup was amazing & the coleslaw was fresh and delicious! Our server was spectacular and friendly. The gentleman in charge even checked in on us. Everything from the food to the service was perfect. They have gained new customers. Well done to the entire crew!
