Mullin Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had to go to the restaurant to get checked in, but that was easy to do. The room was small, but comfortable. Our only problem was the early morning semi traffic, which woke us up earlier than expected. The last time we came here, we also stayed with our family and had a great outing, so overall it was a very nice experience.

I do not believe there is a five-star rating out here. In the immortal words of Bette David: "What a dump." Their website is a masterpiece of misinformation. The photos make it look like a great place. First: outside elevator: not working/no sign to inform you. No indoor elevator; had to WALK UP FOUR FLIGHTS. The "room key" was a piece of paper w/ a code on it. The room was TEENY TINY. Towels were as thin and threadbare as could be. Bed pillows were equally thin and useless. This place is really just a restaurant with some after-thought rooms above. The four flights walk up is on bare18th Century stairs. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL place.

Great option if you have to stay over in the beautiful town of Moorefield. Owner and the staff were genuine and interesting. On site restaurant was delicious. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Modern features like high speed WiFi, digital lock, modern heating/ac. All the safety features too. I can’t wait to return. Recommended!!

Our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing. We were given an extremely small room with no window, which was not mentioned at the time of booking. The room felt incredibly cramped and uncomfortably stuffy, especially since the air conditioning didn’t work at all. Noise was a major issue — not only was there a large gap under the door, but the walls were also incredibly thin. We could hear everything from the hallway and from neighboring rooms—including the loud neighbors who returned after 1am—that made it nearly impossible to sleep. On top of that, the bed was ridiculously loud and squeaky. We knew going in that this was an older hotel, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of comfort and basic amenities for the price we were charged. Unfortunately, we would not recommend staying h
