Mt. Hood Oregon Resort

Room was great ours had a fireplace which was nice and they have a heated pool plus hot tub open year around. The staff were great and very friendly. Food is awesome at the restaurant. they have a small gift/convenient store. Location is great its in a nice wooden area and its pet friendly. while rooms are in several different buildings its nice not to be cramped into a single building. They have a golf course and another restaurant which are both seasonal of course but the golf course looks great and well maintained. the restaurant has a patio area if you like eatting outside.

Positive: I liked the location, landscaping and relaxing vibe. Staff was very friendly. Negative: Hotel rooms need some updating and items replaced (our bathroom door in this instance). Could also use a deep cleaning, vacuuming under the bed and be sure run air conditioner to clear out any bad odors/dust before winter arrives.

Events were terrible. Meal was okay for the New Years, one of the courses were so bad that they gave us $25 off our $95 meal, which is great. Pool is heated but hot tub is tiny and the jets blow the water out of the hot tub. Rooms are so dark I'm expecting a DnD party to come through on their dungeon crawl. My chair was also ripped in the middle. Beds are kinda hard. Spa is moved and wayyy too expensive. There's supposed to be a massage called the "Mount Hood Rejuvenation" for new people, on the Spa website it has one price, when you go to the booking site, it's twice as expensive. Gym is closed. All the resort prices have stayed the same but they're offering less than a third of their resort amenities. It's basically just an overpriced Hotel with a golf course 2 blocks away. Lobby was c

Sprawling property in the Mount Hood area (about 25min down the mountain from Timberline lodge). Fairly low elevation here (about 1300ft). There is one main building that houses the restaurant and a bunch of smaller buildings with the rooms. These have outdoor entrances and their own parking areas. There is a pool and hot tub in the middle of all the buildings which was very nice. Property was rather empty while we were there and on-site restaurant seemed understaffed. There are also tennis courts in the area and a golf course nearby. Room was well-sized and had a nice large closet by the door that was great for storing outdoor gear or for hanging things to dry. Enjoyed our visit to the area.

The large pool was incredibly cold, making it impossible for non-seasoned swimmers to swim in, so a crowd of people huddled in the small jacuzzi, where you literally had to line up to sit in the warm water. They could have made the water warmer in the winter, especially since there were many guests with small children. Bathrobes for the pool area had to be requested separately at reception, and you'd likely have to wait for them to be restocked after they were washed. There were no changing rooms by the pool. For some strange reason, the spa center was closed on weekends, and no one warned us about this in advance or against checking in, even though we came to this hotel specifically for the spa center.
