Mountain Vista Hotel

Located 10 mins west of West Yellowstone. Stayed for 2 nights. It was a more cost effective option when I booked the room. Room is fairly clean, bathroom is smaller. Challenges I had was the room is too close to the breakfast area so you start hearing the conversation and microwave beeping sound starting around 6am.

Stayed there for 4 nights during peak season. Rooms are great, breakfast could have some more variety. They change towels and clean the room only if you ask the front desk to do so. It's located dbout 30 minute drive from the Park and a 10 minute drive from West Yellowstone. Overall pretty decent VfM

Sadly, we were really disappointed with our room. It was very dusty, the window was filthy and there were greasy fingerprints on the bedside table, and overall it was quite small. The pictures posted on line are very deceiving. When we requested a first floor room (they don't have an elevator) because of our age and recent hip surgery, they were unable to accommodate our request. Then when we came back from dinner, after finally climbing the steps for what we thought would be the last time of the day, we found out they deactivated our key all because they only charged us for one day instead of the two we were staying...why not just charge our cc again...why deactivate the key??!! A very nice clean place with nice views. Not too far from park entrance. Here in off season and took less then 30 minutes to get into the park. Spacious clean rooms with nice amenities. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I had a pleasant stay at Mount Vista Hotel. The room was very decent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While the bathroom was on the smaller side, it was functional and made sense given the overall layout. The breakfast was surprisingly good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. Overall, a solid choice for a short stay.
