Motel Bear Lake

One part Nancy Drew, one part the OG Parent Trap. The motel and the rooms are quintessential Michigan adventure in so many ways and the class retro pieces have been kept. We stayed during the end of the winter season for a few days on a good ole American road trip. Folks were so kind and we felt like we had privacy while also having our needs met. The lake is gorgeous in all seasons and the drives on the 22 do not fail.

We had a great stay. The room was really clean, the bed was comfortable, and I loved the decor. The staff was amazing. We visited the lobby when we arrived and she showed us the well stocked amenities room while providing great tips for local dining. It was also a great value. I would definitely stay here again!

QUAINT/CLEAN!|The rooms were so cute and extremely clean! Plan to stay here again! Reasonable rates and wonderful service. December 30th had our hotel was canceled due to power outage. Quiet surroundings and easy access to town and other areas.

Stayed here for the weekend to ski at Crystal Mountain. Our room was very nice and clean. It had nice character and not all white everything like most hotels/motels. While we didn’t use any amenities, it was nice knowing the owners supplied a lot of things you might need/want/forget on a trip! Would definitely stay here again!

We booked this very last minute as a halfway point to ski up north. The price was very reasonable so I wasn't sure what to expect but it was great. The location was right off US-31 headed north in Bear Lake. The exterior is "old school" motel but cute and quaint. The room was just the essentials and comfortable. The beds were really comfy and adequate pillows and blankets. We really appreciated the ease of checking in as we arrived pretty late (11:30pm) and had no trouble pulling in, entering the code, and putting the kids straight in bed. Everything was clean and ready for us! Thanks for a great stay and we will be back.
