I pulled in and people were smoking pot in the parking lot. A super drugged out guy was sitting on a chair outside his upstairs room. Two scruffy guys were working on a motorcycle. The whole place looked like a slum. Don't even begin to think about staying here. It felt very unsafe and I left immediately. It appears to be one of those hotels where homeless are put up by agencies. I experienced the same thing up in Rapid City, So Dakota.
Positive: Good location for my needs. Inexpensive (but uneasiness resulting from poor condition of the room and property in general made this a poor bargain) Negative: Could easily see daylight in gap between door and door jambCover of heater/air co. on/off button is gone. Was fearful of putting finger directly on electronics to use.Light in bathroom didn't functionDark stain or filth in shower tub. IckOne tiny towel
Absolutely wonderful!!! I felt like I was at Yellowstone!!!! Very up close and personable! Great day trip if you are from around here!! Also, did Canyon Coaster!!!! We do not do roller coasters!!! This was AWSOME!! Kinda like a Bob sled. We will definitely be doing this trip again, and bring friends!!!
We stayed there on a roadtrip. We were tired and needed some sleep. Unfortunately the place is extremely ghetto like others have said. If you stay here you’ll have to deal with people trying to steal your car or belongings. We had a group come up, but when one member of my group introduced one of them to the pavement the hard way, the rest took off. Upon entering our room someone kept slamming doors all night. There were people fighting somewhere near the motel. About 2 am we heard a woman screaming for help from somewhere near the motel followed by a man yelling then another man screaming. All during the night we heard gunshots. Don’t stay here unless you’re able and ready to defend yourself.
Decent for the price $400 for a week. The staff here are all very nice and helpful. The rooms include a microwave, mini fridge, expanded cable and well working individual a/c units. The rooms I've stayed in have been bed bug, roach and rodent FREE. Also they are pet friendly at no extra charge. The hotel is pretty enclosed but it's outside of the hotel that's the problem. There are tons of homeless drug addicts everywhere so just be aware.
