Motel 6 Tucson, AZ- Downtown

Booked here as a base to Old Tucson Studio for the following morning. ||$100 deposit required for the room. It was noisy with fellow guests, and the adjacent highway. The floor was filthier than a street pavement and the room stank of canibis. ||The only saving grace was clean bed linen and towels (however the towels had seen better days). The room was rather spacious.

Positive: The affordability, the modesty of furniture, the king-size bed, clean bath tub and toilet. Negative: The floors were incredibly dirty and sticky. I like to walk barefoot when indoors - every step I took was like peeling tape off my foot.

Landlord booked my room for 2 days. Confirmed this with staff. The next day came back to the room, everything was gone and my key worked! Called front desk was informed that because we didn't check with front after night one, our reservation was canceled. They did nothing to fix the issue and we had to be rebooked into another motel.

This place for the price point was a decent deal. The rooms are old out dated and need a lot work. The ceiling above the vanity sink was damaged and not repair. The paint in the corner was bubbled from water damage and had black colored mold. The shower and tub combo had long hair all over the walls. You can tell this room had not been properly cleaned or maintaine and far subpar for a motel6. I know the hotel brand very well and this one was seriously lacking. They did not had a microwave in room like most hotels at the same price point. The staff was friendly. My cable was not working, so had maintenance come look at it. He did not know anything about cable boxes. The card for the cable box was slightly pulled out. I took it out and reinserted it and the cable was fine after that. It was

The staff is what really makes this place. They are very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were clean and nice enough. Great deal on a traveling budget. Located right off the freeway which made it convenient to hit the highway early and head for the Mexican border. Will stay there again on our way home to the US in 3 months.
