Motel 6 Temple, TX

The rooms are DISGUISING!!!! This place is roach infested. I reported to the front desk multiple times about this issue but nothing was done. I insisted on moving to another room but the second room was even worse. I killed probably over a dozen roaches within my first 5 hours of stay. Everything is old and wore down. The paint was falling off the walls from the room I stayed in. The worst part was the management. The woman at the front desk and the manager were EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. They had attitudes about my request to switch rooms. They were very unhelpful when I suggested a roach treatment in the rooms. This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I travel often for dog shows and usually stay at Motel 6 locations, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The bed sheets and towels were heavily stained, and there were even blood spots on the walls. The room had a serious roach problem — the small kind that indicate an infestation. Housekeeping didn’t actually clean the room; they only emptied the trash and replaced the towels with more stained ones. In addition, people were smoking right outside our non-smoking room, and the smell was pulled in through the AC unit. I would not recommend this Motel 6 to anyone.

They do not clean rooms between guests. Our room had toothpaste all over the sink, pee and hair on the toilet, dust on all the room surfaces, and filthy tub. The night guy told me to look at another room, but the 2 other options were in the same condition! He said the first floor rooms weren’t cleaned as well as the top floor because of pets. I said pets don’t use the sink or toilet. I made him scrounge up some cleaner and cleaned the sink and toilet myself (see pics).||It doesn’t appear that they change the sheets between guests either as 1 of the 2 beds in our room had crumbs and hair between the top and bottom sheets. We have stayed here 3 times in last 2 months. First room was clean, roomy, stocked. The last two rooms went bad to worse. No place to hang clothes. Quarter of the used toilet paper was left for us. Staying 2 nites we never received any more either when they restocked towels. Last room had roaches and bed bugs. Will not stay here again.
