Motel 6 Ridgecrest, CA -China Lake

The room was clean and bare bones, what you’d expect for Hotel 6. The front staff was friendly. The shower was hot, and the bed was decently comfortable. The walls have zero soundproofing. It seems that maybe people are living in the hotel? There was a fight that led to four police cars parked in the lot. At night there was often loud banging and as late as 1:30 am a guy pounding on doors looking for someone. I didn’t feel entirely safe.

Great clean room and friendly staff. Great air conditioning and great price. Good coffee in the morning at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here a few different times. The first time we stayed here it seemed like it was under different management because the rooms were clean and the furniture was new. The last couple of times we stayed there it looks like it’s gone down hill. The rooms were dirty and the bed was uncomfortable and had a bad odor. There were a lot of shady looking people hanging around too which made me uncomfortable because we’ve stayed at another motel where people hanging around like that tried to rob us. Someone was blasting loud music in the middle of the night.

I had a great stay at this hotel! It truly has everything you need for a comfortable experience. The prices are incredibly cheap, making it an excellent choice whether you're staying for a short visit or an extended period. The facilities are sufficient, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that doesn't compromise on essentials, this hotel is definitely worth considering!

Would not recommend staying here for a while. I’ve stayed at many motels and have low expectations. But this was the first time I had to ask to switch rooms. First one had a bag of trash outside the door and the +30 flies inside room. Unfortunately, the room I was switched to had bed bugs and waking up a day later I’m covered in bites. Their motel also seems to have some longer term guests that play music all night.
