Motel 6 Mitchell, SD

I had a special request for a room up front because of my vehicle and came early to help them accommodate me which they did. The property itself is older style motel 6 but still clean and nice and the shower was nice and hot and with properties like this the price is reasonable so that's what many of us are looking for. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Extremely affordable, motel6 has a free pets policy that makes them my go to spot. This one was placed right off the highway, and only a few minutes away from several fast food joints. Really my only complaint is the linens they were using were an off white color that I found pretty off putting. Generally the bright white bleached bedding inspires more confidence.

Huge gross covered recliner in a small room. Difficult to move around, shower didn't function well...valve shot, t Telephone to front desk dead, or no one answered, TV didn't work, had to reboot tv and router. Fridge hasn't been cleaned nor defrosted in many months...frost in freezer two inches thick. Comforter covered in dirt or something flacking off. Didn't appear to have been laundered. property not maintained, Customer service was non existentent. About the worst 6 we have stayed at. Expected better from a small town.

Do not stay here! Checked in at midnight with my kids and pets. Realized the room was filthy, with flies and bugs too, cried for a few minutes, went to tell the clerk I was unhappy with the room and he told me to give the key card back and he would refund my money minus a cleaning fee for being there an hour. I told him i didn't know where we would go, that I was only telling him, as his customer, I was upset. He told me its not his problem where me and my kids go. He said he cleans the room himself.... yuck! Filthy broken a/c. Broken microwave, water in fridge making leg loud noise, filthy chair. Flies and bugs.

Positive: The property is very quiet, and the management is friendly. I had a comfortable firm mattress. It appears that rooms are being re-outfitted. Negative: ""
