Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mitchell by IHG

We had a great experience at this hotel. The whole place was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was hot and very tasty. We loved the pool, hot tub and kids "splash pad" which I believe was a foot deep. We were disappointed that the big waterslide wasn't available because there was no life guard on duty (call ahead if this is important to you!) but there were floaties for the kids to use in the pool so they were fine with it. One huge benefit was the pool was saltwater which was such a nice change after a week of over chlorinated pools. The woman who checked us in wasn't especially friendly but the male housecleaning staff was very nice this morning as we checked out.

We had the best experience at this hotel. This was our 2nd time staying here while traveling for a gymnastics meet. My kids loooved the pool. The water was actually WARM, both times we stayed! We were so happy to find a hotel with a pool that doesn't have freezing water. The kids had tons of fun on the big slide and swimming in the large, warm pool. The slide attendant was super nice and even had a couple pool floaties for the kids to use. Our room was clean, the staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was quiet at night so we all slept great. You can't ask for much more! We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Mitchell.

My first stay at a Holiday Inn in years and by far, my best hotel experience in a long time. Spectacularly clean, beautiful and modern decor, super comfy beds and pillows, quiet and quality construction of rooms/ walls. I slept like a baby and everything was so clean it gleamed. Super nice front desk staff, too. Would definitely recommend this property and I look forward to staying here again soon.

There must be something in the water in SD, the stay was very very good. checkin was smooth & recognized my IHG status (not really important but it kinda nice;) Room was clean, lots of plugins for the tech. WiFi was solid. Beds were very comfortable, A/C could be placed on constant (love that white noise) 2 elevators that worked well. Very nice fitness center & pool area. Short walking distance to restaurants & a lot of other stores! Really enjoyed the stay! Checkout was quick & accurate. Plenty of parking. When back in the area i will return! Thanks again.

The rooms were clean, and the staff was incredibly proactive with snow removal during blizzard conditions. Their quick response made navigating a wedding day in extreme weather so much easier and far less stressful. We truly appreciated the care and urgency shown by the team.
