Motel 6 Laramie, WY

Looking at the pictures online before booking looked more promising than what the room actually was. There were black hairs on all our towels, the shower had stuff in it, the sheets did not smell clean. I was not expecting 5 stars by any means. I was however expecting a clean room.

We stayed at this motel on a recent road trip in May 2025. The room was clean ,but the floor was in real bad shape. The linoleum was peeling up. The windows let in cold air as the did not seal well. The refrigerator was not cold at all. The ice machine was broken. The outside area was very dirty. Cigarette butts were scattered everywhere. There was a dog area ,but no place to put the doggy do so it was all over the area.

Positive: Close to places to eat Negative: Their WiFi kept disconnecting. The stairs looked like they might fall at any time. No refrigerator in the room.

The customer service was amazing. The manager was amazing. It seems the only real thing wrong with this place is that corporate doesn't want to seem to fork out the money to repair what is damaged. I really think the owner of this specific location needs to invest more into the business so that they make more money

Not up to the usual standards of Motel 6, where we often stay because we can have our small dog in the room at no extra charge. This one, however, is rather run down. Not in the best part of town. Outside neon sign was broken. Our room had no refrigerator. No coffee maker. No shampoo in the shower. Swimming pool was out of commission. The door seal needed to be replaced. The floor was old with peeling fake wood flooring. Fixtures in the bathroom sink were loose. No breakfast. The staff, on the other hand, was friendly and efficient. The room was clean. But for $80 a night, we expect more.
