Motel 6 Kenly, NC

I stayed one night at the Motel 6 in Kenly off the Truckstop Rd exit. The area is very busy with trucks & travelers, so expect traffic noise throughout the night. I was able to check in early at no extra charge, which was a big plus. Since it was just a one-night stay, I also didn’t have to pay the $50 deposit. The exterior of the property actually looks pretty nice at first glance. Unfortunately, the room itself was in rough shape. There were holes in the doors, fixtures falling apart, a sticky bathroom floor, heavily scratched flooring, & a fridge that made noise most of the night. The TV remote didn’t work either. It’s a Motel 6, so I wasn’t expecting luxury — but for the price, the room could have been much better maintained. There is a nice area behind the building to walk your dog,

Very good hotel overall. Rooms were clean and staff are friendly. Check in and check out is a breeze! This will be a regular stop from now on.

Stayed for one night while passing through town. The room was decent for the price — nothing fancy, but clean enough. Bed was a little firm and the towels were thin, but it had a fridge and microwave which came in handy. Staff was polite and check-in was quick. Some highway noise at night, and you could hear other guests through the walls. Good if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep, but not ideal for a longer stay.

Stayed at Motel 6 Kenly for one night. I had a late check-in, and the girl at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The room was nice, the king bed was comfortable, and the bedding was clean. The heater worked well and the room was warm and cozy. A couple of minor downsides: the microwave worked but was making some unpleasant noises, and the toilet seat was broken and apparently “repaired” with a single screw 🤣 (and yes… that didn’t really fix it). They don’t charge any extra fee for pets, which was a very nice bonus and much appreciated. Overall, the price was good and I would stay here again.

I haven't stayed here in about 17 years due to living in the area but I just got a room here and it's amazing!!!! Love love love it! Rooms are huge and beautiful. No bugs either! Receptionist was so overly nice also
