Motel 6 Buttonwillow, CA Central

We stopped here cause we needed a break from driving. We got a non smoking room. The room we got reaked of smoke. It was unbearable. In addition there was a strong sewage smell all around. The room was not the cleanest and the hotel seems like it hasn't been maintained in a while. I get its what you get for the price, but then it should be cheaper. The highway is also quite loud and you can hear it all from the room. The doors do not seal all the way to the floor, there was a big gap.

Positive: The staff was great at moving us to a different room when we informed them that the air conditioning didn't work. Negative: It was VERY noisy being close to the freeway. It was obviously an old building with little if any sound insulation.

We were put in a room right next to the freeway and the noise was so loud I could not sleep. Do not get stuck by the freeway at all cost! Room was ok. It could have been a really nice stay. The only way I would stay is to get a room by the pool. Front desk young man was pleasant. I will say that the price is really good but if you can't sleep no price is worth it! They might invest in insulation in the walls!

The good, the bad and the Ugly: |The Good: The room was clean enough, no bugs (which is a huge positive), no visible dust, clean beds and bathroom. Close to the freeway and very reasonably priced.|The Bad: The beds were very uncomfortable (unless you are really into extra, extra firm) and they only give you one thin pillow each person / 2 pills per bed.|The Ugly: The rooms floor was in terrible shape, tile in the bathroom was broken and warn, there was a huge crack in 2 spots from what looks like a tree root going under it because it’s raised under the crack. The tv has an issue where it would work fine the turn pink and the sound would go off, probably an old hdmi cable but not great. The heater was very difficult to get to work as well took 5 minutes to somewhat figure it out. ||Over all

I was in room 113, which was supposed to be a wheelchair accessible room. I thought that would also mean handicapped accessible. The bed was taller than my rolling suitcase and I could barely climb in (I'm 5'3" and have arthritis). Also the bathroom had a tub with no wall rails to grab onto for stability. There was a plastic shower chair (again without arms), but come on, who is going to sit on a generic chair with their bare body parts? The room looked recently remodeled and was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the heater worked well.
