Morel's Courtyard Inn

This place could be wonderful with a little help. Like not having huge overflowing trash cans right outside our bedroom door, replacing broken windows with glass instead of tape, cleaning a little more. I think one day if they are able to change out the carpet floors it would make all the difference as well. Nice location and service was good. When we asked for something that was missing it was very promptly handled!

I am working in the New Roads area and needed safe comfortable lodging as a solo traveler. I was really looking forward to my stay and excited to find what I thought would be a great place based on the website, posted photos and other guest reviews. I stayed in Room 12 at Morel's Courtyard Inn this past week. When I arrived and walked through the courtyard area to my room, I noticed how unkempt the courtyard area was. The courtyard area was full of tree leaves, tree branches, lizard poop and the fountain was not on/working. As I walked to my room, most of the glass windows facing the courtyard were cracked and broken, including the room I was staying in. We had stayed at another hotel in town the night before. It was horrible. My son and daughter in law, who live in New Roads, recommended this Inn. |We had a room with two twin beds. Very comfortable mattress. We slept well. Room was very clean with a Keurig coffee pot and complimentary water. The courtyard was nice with outdoor tables. |Walking distance to everything downtown. |Will definitely stay here again

My husband and I traveled to New Roads for a fishing tournament. We booked our room a few weeks prior. The entire experience was wonderful, from start to finish! The room was impressively clean and smelled wonderful. It was the perfect size for the two of us. The courtyard is beautiful and the location is hard to beat! The public boat launch and numerous businesses within walking distance, including Morel’s restaurant, was a huge bonus! We were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend Morel’s ❤️

I think it was a very nice hotel, old school. Everyone was so pleasant. I was there for 2 days to visit my husband as he was working for the power company to help after the storm. I loved it there. Everyone was so nice and made you feel at home. It did only have 2 single beds but we made due and brought 2 kid cots with us and made it work just fine. I would recommend staying here to anyone. If we needed anything it was just a phone call away.
