Mohegan Sun Sky and Earth Hotel Entrance

Chose to stay at the Earth Tower for our anniversary. The room rate was excessive at almost $500 for a night (and that’s the “discounted” military rate), especially after what we got. First issue, I ordered to have chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the room as a surprise for our anniversary. Well it was a surprise, they never came. The room was not cleaned completely. The trashes weren’t empty, the coffee maker had the old pod still in it, and the body wash was empty. The cherry topper was after voicing my issues to the front desk. I realized that I forgot my key in the room, and I asked the security guard if I could get buzzed into the elevator (you need a key to use the elevator or access the stairs). Mohegan Sun Casino is often compared to its larger counterpart, Foxwoods, located just 30 minutes away. However, my recent visit made it clear that size isn't everything. While Mohegan Sun has its unique charm, I found it to be smaller and less engaging than I had hoped. One of the highlights of any casino visit is the dining experience, but my time at the Italian restaurant, Tuscany, was disappointing. The food was served cold and overly salted, detracting from what should have been a delightful meal. The staff did not seem attentive, which added to my frustration. It's a small city, basically, so you can find everything you need. The decor is fun and exciting, while opulent. The employees do a fantastic job keeping it immaculate, I don't think I saw more than an empty cup once or twice. We stayed in a room on the premises that was comfortable and clean, with a pretty great view of the main tower.

Casino smelt good. Was my first thing. And I walked out with money so win for me lol
