Mission Hill Coffee House

Nice spot in LaPointe to enjoy a good cup of coffee, a pastry and work on a very difficult puzzle 😆 The atmosphere and staff are wonderful. Lots of specialty goods, coffee and tea for sale too. Highly recommend when you can't get your campfire started or you just want a pleasant spot to hang out! We didn't have one, but the next table raved about the breakfast sandwiches.Coffee is yum.

Came early this morning with my hubby and found this coffee place infested with flies. Rotten bananas with little bugs flying around. This place is gross. I do not think there is a heath department in the island. The outside is clean and neat looking but be aware.

Very expensive & NOT worth it- large size is a medium for $9. That’s more than Starbucks…Espresso is weak & no oat milk. Employees could be a lot nicer too. FYI fly infestation & rotten bananas on the counter is 100% true & was disgusting!!

Inside was cozy and warm but a bit cluttered. I got there right at opening and the counter was cluttered and there were dirty dishes. Coffee was good and it was a nice place to warm up while waiting on the first ferry.

I visited this location last weekend and was disappointed by the behavior of the woman working at the front counter. My coworkers and I, who are Native American, were not acknowledged when we arrived and had to ask her to take our order. When we asked questions about the menu, she appeared visibly irritated. What stood out even more was the contrast in how she treated another customer — a white woman — who approached shortly after. She immediately smiled, laughed, and wished her a great day, then returned to being dismissive toward us. The difference in treatment was hard to ignore and made for an uncomfortable experience.
