Minnetonka Resort

I was tent camping at the state park and was getting rained on for a day and then the power went out. I came here and got the last room they had. I was so thankful for a warm comfortable room out of the cold rain and they offered I park my motorcycle in the breezeway out of the rain. The Wi-Fi was wonderful too. I did feel the $135/night was a little high for a double queen motel with no continental breakfast.

A wonderful place! The cabins are cozy, clean, and welcoming. The resort itself had activities (such as a band, light show, etc.). It is in a great spot, with a lot of things being in walking distance. All of the staff was very kind and helpful with the map/directions or any questions. They also allow dogs, so we got to bring our boy with! I’d recommend the Minnetonka resort to anyone who wants to visit copper harbor

What I love about the UP of Michigan is the availability of little “Mom n Pop” lodging options… makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. My little cabin was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff very friendly. Best of all, if you are headed to Isle Royale, you can park your car there for free… keep in mind that spots are limited, however, so grab a spot as soon as available and don’t move your car or you may miss out!

Such a cute cozy cabin space to call home for a night or two while up in the northern est part of Upper Peninsula Michigan. Copper Harbor had a few options for small cabin stays. We had luck finding a room here the week after Labor Day weekend. It worked great. Nice place, good price and friendly people. The Thunderbird shop was a cut gift shop and staff was friendly and welcoming. Property was well kept and peaceful. Room was very small but it had everything we needed. (And only 1 plug available in bedroom and 2 available in bathroom over the sink.) parking is pretty limited. Small spaces for each cabin but more parking spots up front in parking lot area.

Minnetonka Resort is a charmingly rustic motel with cabins to suit a number of group needs. The cabins have everything you need - bathroom, separate rooms, lounging area, and kitchen with dishes and appliances. I could live well here. It's in easy walking of the Copper Harbor marina where the ferry docks, too. This is a perfect jumping off/landing space for Ise Royale or any other UP adventure! The desk staff are super friendly and helpful. I appreciated their flexibility when the ferry was delayed for 4 days!
